Like No Tomorrow

In this series, a dystopian satire of the family portrait tradition looks at the limited choices of individuals caught within the circumstances caused by global systems. Instead of the scenes of prosperity traditionally used for studio portraits, I created backgrounds that depict various end-of-the-world scenarios. Each scene illustrates a possible cataclysmic event, based on articles in mass media and personal discussions. I photographed families in my studio against a green screen, and then composited them into a scene.
